Mr. Luz serves as Of Counsel to MLF and has been in practice with his own firm since 1999. A commercial litigator in New York City for the past 25 years, Mr. Luz has won significant victories in most of the state and federal courts in the New York area, and has prevailed in most major arbitral forum as well.
He has successfully represented industrial corporations, service companies, and financial institutions large and small in hundreds of cases involving contracts and business torts.
Mr. Luz gained experience as an associate at prominent Manhattan law firms and as Vice President and counsel to NatWest Bank, N.A. As a Senior Attorney at Epstein Becker & Green, P.C., he litigated major employment law matters including age, religious and sex discrimination, including sexual harassment. In addition to his courtroom work, Mr. Luz advises businesses of all sizes on corporate, regulatory, labor, and other legal issues. He is a FINRA arbitrator, outside counsel to numerous financial companies, and the author of articles on banking law, lien law, and enforcement of judgments.
Mr. Luz received his law degree from Boston University School of Law and his undergraduate degree from Cornell University. He is fluent in French.
